Clean Bread and Cheese Creek awarded Grant (June 2011)

The Baltimore Community Foundation awarded Clean Bread and Cheese Creek a grant based on our past work and the work we wish to accomplish in the future. Thank you BCF for choosing our organization to award this grant. This makes our goal of a cleaner creek more obtainable. We also would like to thank Brian Schilpp of the BRRC in representing us for this grant. Without Brian, this grant would not have been possible... thank you Brian!

September 2011

Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (DEPS) provided argos and a crew for preparations the Friday before and on the day of the clean-up.
The Baltimore Community Foundation awarded a grant to our organization in which the funds went to purchase supplies and tools for the event.

April 2011 (Project Clean Stream)

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay provided trash bags, gloves, first aid kits, safety vests.
Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (DEPS) provided a dumpster, mud dog and three man crew for preparations the Friday before.
Gotugo Portable Toilets donated a portable bathroom.
Gold’s Gym in Dundalk supplied bottled water.
A Friend of the Environment donated catering.
Cambridge Iron & Metal donated a dumpster for the metal found in the stream and agreed to recycling it rather then going to a land fill.
Hamilton Federal Bank made a monetary donation.

Michael Wuyek, a professional photographer, took photos of Bread and Cheese Creek before the April 10th Clean-up. This will help us document the progress we will see after the Clean-up.
